In January of this year, textile exports amounted to $124 million US dollars, an amount that represented a growth of 22% compared to the same month of 2018, indicated the Central Reserve Bank (BCR), according to Andina News Agency.

This growth is due to an increase in volumes shipped and also of the product prices.

“In the first month of the year, there were greater shipments to the United States (27.5%), Italy (301.7%), Chile (7.1%), Colombia (67.3%) and Ecuador (27.5%)”, the news agency reported.
