A moment for Disconnection

Gocta Natura Reserve was born with the soul of the forest on the slopes of the Gocta waterfall, initially as a reforestation project: a place centered on a sincere reverence for the forest and what its permanence generates in us as humans.

Six cozy, independent, private cabins are equipped with all services and amenities, allowing guests to experience the exquisite adventure of stopping time.

Each space in the reserve is designed for unique experiences, to focus on the sense of a life in harmony with the environment and oriented towards returning to the primary and elemental aspects of our relationship with nature.

Gocta Natura Reserve won the TripAdvisor 2023 Travellers’ Choice award, a testament to the space that hosts us and our commitment to sharing it with you.

A (Not-so) Urban Kitchen

On July 20, Ignacio Barrios, the head chef from Urban Kitchen, will visit Gocta to lead a weekend of gastronomic exploration around the garden and wood-fired oven. Throughout his stay, Ignacio will modify the regular menu, culminating in a master class and lunch at Tutamono, the garden/ wood-fired oven table.

After breakfast on Sunday the 21st, we will begin with a baking session guided by Gustavo Laviña, head chef of the lodge.

Then, a tour for foraging the garden with our head gardener, Milton Yalta, to harvest herbs, leaves, flowers, and baby vegetables, and end around the wood-fired oven with Ignacio and Gustavo. What follows is pure inspiration from the abundance of the forest: from our garden, from our neighbors’ gardens, and from the farmers and breeders in the highlands of Lamud and Chachapoyas.
