Peru And Colombia Wish To Strengthen Commercial Links

On Thursday, April 25 the Fifth Binational Cabinet between Colombia and Peru will take place and the services sector will probably be addressed.

“In dialogue with the Official Gazette El Peruano, she recalled [internationalist María Pérez] that Colombia is our ninth commercial partner and the third country with the most investments in Peru, after Spain and Chile. The capitals are in the financial, health, energy, candy and hotel sectors, she added”, El Peruano wrote yesterday.

Pérez also told this newspaper that a major hotel chain from Colombia is expected to open its first hotel in San Isidro, in the first half of the current year.

“I consider it a very good opportunity [the meeting] to continue deepening the commercial relationship with Colombia,” Pérez said to El Peruano.

Last year’s meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed in the agricultural sector between Peru and Colombia, which is why Pérez believes that other opportunities in this sector should be considered.
