The congressman for Peruanos por el Kambio (PPK), Gilbert Violeta, presented a bill for the creation of inclusive employment and basic infrastructure through the Trabaja Perú Program.
According to Violeta, the initiative will benefit, only in the city of Lima, more than 80,000 families living in poverty and extreme poverty.
“It is a project that will strengthen the Executing Nuclei that consist of teams organized in areas of extreme poverty by the residents themselves, basically to be able to create retaining walls, generating inclusive jobs,” told Violeta to Andina News Agency.
This project also contributes to reducing poverty in the most vulnerable population.
“Violeta explained that one of the problems detected in this type of programs is that they depend on the municipalities, so it is necessary for them to coordinate directly with the Ministry of Labor, through Trabaja Perú”, wrote Andina.
If PPK’s proposal is approved, then the Executive will need to take the necessary actions to authorize the intervention of the sector.
