Chef Juan Chipoco presented an autobiography at USIL in Lima. In his coffee-table book, he narrates his journey to the American Dream and promotes Peruvian cuisine.

The Book

Renowned Peruvian chef Juan Chipoco, founder of the restaurant group CVI.CHE 105, released his autobiography, “Juan Chipoco: The Brand Behind the Brand.” The book tells the inspiring story of his life as a culinary entrepreneur and promoter of Peruvian cuisine worldwide.

Josefina Barrón, the book’s author, explains that the work recounts Chipoco’s path from humble beginnings to achieving international success. It also offers valuable lessons for entrepreneurs, culinary enthusiasts, and anyone pursuing their dreams.

For Chipoco, this book is a window into his past, as it tells his story and reflections throughout his journey to success. He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and inspired him along the way.

“Surrounded by luxury and accomplishments, I experienced a mix of emotions: intrigue, insecurity, and a powerful sense of excitement and motivation for the journey ahead toward success. And thus began the story that comes to life in the pages of this book,” he said.

The Presentation

The book presentation took place at the San Ignacio de Loyola University Convention Center.

Former vice-president Raúl Diez Canseco Terry, founder and president of the USIL Educational Corporation, emphasized the lessons to learn from the Peruvian entrepreneur. Like many peruvians, he built himself up in the United States, becoming an example of perseverance, innovation, and passion for Peruvian cuisine.

During the presentation, USIL’s rector, Jorge Talavera Traverso, stated, “Chipoco is a visionary who has made his dreams come true. He has opened several establishments and left his mark. He has never forgotten his roots and has carried out various social activities in the country.”
