The United States is currently the country with the most medals won so far in the Pan American Games, Lima 2019 with 78, 33 of them gold.
Mexico is in second place with a total of 14 gold medals, 10 silver and 25 bronze. As for Peru, in the ninth day of competition, it remains in 8th place with 11 medals: 4 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.
However, according to Depor, Peru still has a chance of winning more medals in sports, such as surf, sail and swimming where Peruvian athletes have had good results before.
Also, of the 41 countries participating in the Pan American Games 2019, 20 have already added their names to the winners’ board.
