Today the Dakar Rally will race entirely in San Juan de Marcona in what will be its seventh stage.

“In the Dakar Rally competition, there are 534 participants among pilots, co-drivers and mechanics, who will be on board of 337 vehicles, 138 of them, motorcycles, 96 cars, 41 trucks, 33 off-road utility vehicles and 29 quads”, El Popular informed.
The Spanish driver, Carlos Sainz, believes that this race’s edition is very stressful since it is entirely done in sand dunes. “Nobody will be sure of winning until the end”, he told El Popular.

The 2019 Dakar Rally also marks a milestone in the participation of female drivers since 17 women are participating. Among them, Sara García, the Peruvian Gianna Velarde and the Paraguayan Andrea Lafarja.
