In the latest round in the tug of war over Inca-era artifacts from Machu Picchu, the government of Peru has voluntarily withdrawn six of the 17 elements of its lawsuit against Yale University. # Unlikely Detector says :

Unlikely that Peru will win the case... even if Peru accused Yale of being called Yale, their arguement would be thrown out of court.
Remember, Yale is part of a world of super influencial politicians, judges, and secret societies (who steal remains of dead indigenous americans and have obsessions with nazis). At this level of society in the United States, corruption and immorality is the norm. "Old boy" networks are the pinnacle of this lawlessness.

The Most Reverend Doctor Harold Attridge
Hi Harold,
I am the pastor of the Union Church of Lima, Peru. The congregation is an interdenominational, international Christian community. I did my doctoral studies at the University of the South, The School of Theology. It is my pleasure to serve in Lima and with the Peruvian international business and educational community.
As you are aware, there is an ongoing legal dispute between Yale University and Peru about the contents of material carried to Yale in the early part of last century. It now is a part of the museum collection of your university.
As an observer of life in Peru, the ancient Inca history is so much a part of the daily fabric of the people of this nation that you would perhaps never grasp. The materials in the museum at Yale are more than academic evidence of an ancient time. These articles are a reality for those Peruvians who walk the trails of Peru. It is as a part of their ancestry that has been removed and now can not participate in the daily life of the Peruvian people. These ‘museum items for Yale” are a part of the religious heritage of Peru. This heritage understands these items as real for them today.
I know that if you just came and visited this country, you would see this connection to the ancient as well as the modern. I invite you to come speak at our church and walk with the Peruvians along the ancient trails of this nation.
I understand in your position that you have legally no responsibility. But I do challenge the spiritual responsibility of the School of Divinity in seeing museum articles as the sole possession of the University of Yale and not respect the indigenous people of Peru from whom it was taken.
As other USA universities have reviewed the ethics of material held in their museums, I hope that Yale University would do the same.
This letter is sent as an observer of Peru with no official voice of the government of Peru. I am a simple pastor serving in Lima.
It is with sincere regards, I am
Your Christian Servant,
Bruce
Bruce Sloan.

Yes, let's blame Yale. Let's say Peru will be defeated by "secret societies" and "conspiracies" and "corruption."
Not the bad decisions and management by previous and current governments of Peru.
