Peru: 70 percent to local governments accused of commiting irregularitiesMore than 70% of Mayors and 50% of Regional Presidents commit irregularities during their governments, claims Rosa Florián, from the National Plan to Fight Corruption.

She said in a radio interview that this group will request the Congress to authorizate them to investigate these facts, especially those regarding local governments with pending lawsuits, and to lift bank secrecy when required.

The proposal was made after Florián noticed that the Regional President of Ucayali, Jorge Velásquez, did not attend the citation, and after that lawmaker Pedro Santos denounced the usage of school supplies to distribute politic propaganda.

URGENT:

Is it safe for a Florida based Baptist Youth Church Group of 16 year old girls to come to Lima for a week or two tomorrow, without their parents, to do missionary work in a children's orphanage?

There are parts of Peru that are much more safer than say   the streets of Miami or Tampa.
Too bad there are no orphanages close to your home where they can help, without worrying and then donate the large cost of the airline tickets to the local orfanages.

No Madison it is not safe for a group of 16 year olds on the streets of Lima without their parents.  You would not walk around Overtown in Miami, imagine just about everywhere in Lima is like that or much, much worse.
