The Municipality of Cusco designed and implemented the project “Non-Traditional Tourist Circuits” that encourages both national and foreign tourists to visit places of interest close to the city at no cost.
The Department of Tourism and Culture reported that the goal is to generate greater interest in the Peruvian Andean culture and vast history, explained Andina, adding that the first delegations began to leave for these visits last Friday, April 27, and will be doing so until May 11.
The dates from June 6 to 22 will also be available for this touristic experience, Andina news agency informed.
The start of the circuit will be by the Qhapaq Ñan Ccorca from 8:00 am until noon, and the group will leave from the commune of Cusco and arrive at the district of Ccorca, which is known to be as the place where the first human settlements occurred.
Other interesting touristic stops are the first manifestations of typography, cave paintings, discovered by Luis Barreda Murillo, and archaeological remains that are possibly 4,000 years old.
The archaeological center of Machucorimarca, Farallones de Tecsecocha, the Inca Trail or Qhapaq Ñan al Contisuyo, the Apu Mama Simona, the colonial temple Santiago Apóstol de Ccorca, and the archaeological site of Huanoc are other places that will be visited with this tour.
