Flights would begin on June 14 and will take place every Thursday and Sunday.

The President of the Chamber of Tourism and Foreign Trade of Paracas (CAPATUR), Eduardo Jáuregui, estimated that the flights from Cusco to Pisco would increase by 5% the tourist flow to Paracas and surrounding areas.

“These flights will mainly benefit the people of the Cusco region and surroundings who have shown interest in knowing the natural and ecological beauty of Paracas.”, said CAPATUR in a press release.

Jáuregui also believes that one of the main attractions in Paracas is its beach, which is something visitors from Cusco would like to enjoy. Tourists from Ica will also have a direct flight, without needing to make a stop at Lima first to travel to Paracas.

Flights from Cusco to Pisco have been authorized to begin on June 14, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. They will be taking place on Thursdays and Sundays in an Airbus 319 aircraft from Latam, read the press release.

“Likewise, the head of CAPATUR revealed that these flights will benefit tourists from Bolivia”, said the press release. “Visitors from that country have shown great interest in knowing the beaches of Paracas, as well as its natural reserve”, it continued.
Of the five percent increase in tourist flow to Paracas, four percent would correspond to foreign visitors, estimated Jáuregui.
