The Peruvian national team will receive the Ecuadorian team on November 15 in Lima, and will face each other in a friendly match.
“The FPF (Peruvian Soccer Federation) announces that the @SeleccionPeru will play a friendly match with @FEFecuador this November 15 in Lima,” the Peruvian team tweeted from their official account.
The Peruvian team, led by Ricardo Gareca, has already scheduled two other friendly matches in October against Chile and the United States.
The duel between Peru and Chile, known as the “Classic of the Pacific”, will be played on October 12 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, United States. And four days later, on October 16, they will have a friendly match against the United States team at Rentschler Field in Connecticut.
The Inca team lost to the Netherlands and Germany (2-1 in both cases), in the two friendly matches they played after their participation in the Russia FIFA 2018 World Cup. This was the first time after 36 years that Peru participated in this event.
With these matches, Peru begins its preparation for the Copa América of Brazil-2019 and the South American qualifier for the World Cup of Qatar-2022, which starts next year.
