The former president remained hospitalized since December 23. On Christmas Eve he received the humanitarian pardon from President PPK.

Yesterday, former President Alberto Fujimori left the clinic where he was hospitalized. He left the clinic in a wheelchair and accompanied by his youngest son, the congressman from Popular Force, Kenji Fujimori. The former president was seen outside the health center at 9:38 p.m.
At the moment of entering the black truck that was waiting for him outside, Alberto Fujimori got up from his wheelchair, but not before greeting his supporters. After this, he left for La Molina. Hours before his departure, police officers had reinforced security in the perimeter of the clinic.
Alberto Fujimori was transferred after 6:00 p.m. on December 23 to the health center from the prison of the Diroes, where he served a sentence of 25 years in prison for the La Cantuta and Barrios Altos cases. That day, the former congressman Alejandro Aguinaga, his family doctor, said that Fujimori “had a sudden drop in blood pressure” due to an arrhythmia.

In the following days, the former president was subjected to a series of health analyzes and treatments so that even the visitors received by him were restricted.

The former head of state (1990-2000) received a humanitarian pardon on Christmas Eve granted by the President of the Republic, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, who had to face, from his decision, several resignations in the ruling party and criticism from various political sectors along with major protests in different parts of the country.

What do you think will Alberto Fujimori do now that he is a free man?
