BMX Latin American Cycling Cup 2017 Held this Weekend

The event will be this Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 at the Zonal Club Huiracocha, in San Juan de Lurigancho.

This year San Juan de Lurigancho will be the setting for the new edition of the BMX Latin American Cycling Cup 2017, which will bring together about 350 athletes from the continent in the Zonal Club Huiracocha.

Among the participants, there are European riders who will join this great sporting event that will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m., on both dates.

There will also be prominent athletes from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Venezuela, and France, along with Peru, there are 10 participating countries.

It is important to boost other sports that may not be as recognized as soccer which is living probably its best moment in the country for years due to the chances Peru has to qualify for the World Cup 2018. A real passion for soccer can be felt in Peru; taking into account how much that passion for soccer has helped Peruvian economy, it would be excellent if another sport had as much acceptance as soccer.

This competition is considered the first in the BMX modality, it is organized by Serpar, the Peruvian Cycling Sports Federation and the Peruvian Club for Extreme Cyclism.

With this event, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima seeks to consolidate its commitment to bring the sport to the zonal clubs and metropolitan parks of the capital.
