The Peruvian film “Don’t call me an old maid” (No me digas solterona) was chosen as the Best International Theatrical Release Feature Film in the United Kingdom.
“We won,” Patricia Barreto, a star in the film, wrote in her Instagram account, according to Expreso.
This event that is held in London, United Kingdom, is called the International Motion Pictures Awards (LIMPA) and its objective is to spread the cinematographic culture, the advances achieved in various branches of cinematographic art and to strengthen them among filmmakers from all over the world in general.
The film “No me digas solterona” is about a 35-year old woman (Patricia) who is a “hopeless romantic” and when she’s about to get married to her boyfriend Alonso she finds out he has cheated on her with Belén, who is 22 years old.
This forces Patricia to go back to being single and to live the “nightmare” of the romantic split up.
