Peru has been recognized as “Best Destination with International Heritage” 2018 by readers and followers of the tourism magazine in India “Travel + Leisure India & South Asia”.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), “the readers have chosen Peru for its cultural heritage, its historical wealth and its archaeological remains”, said El Comercio.
Some of the places that Indians have chosen to be on their travel list are Machu Picchu and the Nazca lines.
“Our country received this award from the Commercial Counselor of the Commercial Office of Peru in New Delhi (OCEX New Delhi), Luis Cabello, in the framework of the seventh edition of India’s Best Awards 2018, organized by “Travel + Leisure India & South Asia” in one of the most important hotels in the city of New Delhi”, the aforementioned media explained.
This result is also the product of a three-month vote where more than 200,000 people participated online to choose their favorite destinations.
Among other categories in this voting process where: Best emerging destination country; cruises; business hotels; airports; and honeymoon destinations.
