80% of the 20,000 were destined for national consumers”, said the police to The Mirror, adding that the album has a great demand and the criminal groups are abusing the good faith of the people who are soccer fans, both inside and outside the country.

“Officers in Peru confiscated the haul following a sting operation on Tuesday.”, the media explained. They also confirmed that 20% of this merchandise was meant to be sold in Europe.

This is the Panini’s 12th edition of the album after its first release in the 1970 tournament in Mexico.

“The World Cup kicks off on June 14 with hosts Russia taking on Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, and finishes up at the same venue with the final on July 15.”, The Mirror explained.
