Peruvian gastronomy has a huge menu full of tasteful and exotic flavors. In recent years, new talents and interesting projects have emerged. The best and most original are recognized every year by Summum Awards.
The 2018’s edition, awarded the prizes on Monday, August 27th. at theNational Grand Theater. This year, 323 restaurants signed up, but only 115 were cut off as finalists in 32 categories. To select the winners, an online survey was done between May and June, which includes 5.000 users, including gastronomic critics to diners, across the country.
For the ninth edition, the poll was complemented by the decisions of three special juries: food critics, who voted for Best Author Cuisine and Best Female Chef; chefs, to choose the Best Producer; and the Consultative Committee of Summum, for the Best Classic Restaurant, Best Huarique, Best Bartender and Best Maitre. In addition, the collaboration of the Wine Club was requested to choose the Best Sommelier.
