Visitors of the International Tourism Fair in Berlin were able to taste the most exquisite Peruvian cuisine and learn about adventure tourism.
Peru was recognized as the ‘Best Historic Destination in the World‘ and won the PTWA International Award, one of the most coveted in the travel industry. This took place at the 52nd edition of the International Tourism Fair in Berlin, Germany.
La República also informed that the country won four other medals, for the same number of audiovisuals presented at the event, through which Peru seeks to show the nation as an interesting destination for those who like adventure tourism.
The Golden City Gate award was given to the films: Film in Peru; Generación con Causa; Voyager Colors of Peru; and Peru, el país más rico del mundo.
“These awards are a pride for Peruvians because they are international awards given to the best films, videos and short films that are presented at this fair, which is visited by thousands of professionals from around the world,” said Maria Soledad Acosta, director of Promperú Tourism Promotion, according to La República.
These awards are granted by the Pacific Travel Writers Association in the International Tourism Fair of Berlin, Germany.
Also, Promperú had a stand in the fair to promote nature and adventure tourism in the country, such as the Paracas National Reserve, the Huascarán National Park, the Manu National Park, and the cultural aspect of Kuelap, Choquequirao, and the Nazca Lines.
The visitors were also able to taste some of the most exquisite Peruvian cuisine.
